Dr. Gill received a D.O. from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Texas in 1994. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, New York in 1995; a residency in internal medicine at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Dallas, Texas in 1995 – 1997; and a fellowship in medical oncology at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas in 1999. He earned his B.S. degree at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania in 1990.
