Dr. Medellin specializes in medical oncology and internal medicine limited to oncology patients. Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Medellin has been practicing in Baytown since 1983. She was instrumental in the development of San Jacinto Methodist East Cancer Center and its subsequent accreditation as a Community Cancer Center from the American College of Physicians. She currently serves as cancer liaison physician. She has been past president of the East Harris County Medical Society and chief of staff of San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. In the past 24 years she has served on numerous hospital committees in the Baytown area. She currently holds a position on the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Board of Trustees.
