Alyaz Somji, DO completed an extensive internal medicine residency at Palmetto General Hospital where he served as chief resident and resident of the year. He now joins the core faculty of the Center for Family Care at Florida Hospital from CenseoHealth, where he served as home-health physician. During his medical training, Dr. Somji was instrumental in founding and co-founding a number of process improvement groups to help medial students, residents and physicians and communicate, learn, instruct and administer care.

His advanced internal medicine knowledge, coupled with his desire to instruct fellow physicians, ensures his patients, along with the residents, will be given the care and attention deserved. As an internist at the Florida Hospital family medicine residency program practice, Dr. Somji attends to patients of the practice in the hospital, and teaches medical students and residents hospital medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine at three different major universities in South and Central Florida.
