Wesley Papenfuss, MD, educates and walks with patients during the surgery phase of their cancer treatment. Having knowledge about what is happening and why takes away some of the fear that is natural when facing cancer therapies. He provides surgery for cancers of the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intraabdominal sarcoma.Dr. Papenfuss earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND. He completed his general surgery residency at Iowa Health System, Des Moines, IA. He completed a surgical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY. He is board certified in General Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology by the American Board of Surgery.
