Frederick T. Work, Jr., M.D. is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is an alumnus of Georgia Tech and Morehouse College and received his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in 1986. Dr. Work completed his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center located in San Francisco (1986-1987). From 1987 to 1989, he served in the United States Army as a general medical officer stationed in the Republic of Panama, Central America. Dr. Work completed his general surgery residency (1989-1993) at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and practiced as a general surgeon at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (1993-1995) in Germany until his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.
He then returned to Atlanta where he completed two additional residencies at Emory University School of Medicine (1995-1998) in head and neck/microvascular surgery, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery.
