Meet Dr. Joseph Powers of NGPG Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Dr. Powers received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Upon completion of a Primary Care and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Powers and his family moved to Georgia in 2013. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristen, and their two year old son, Max.

A featured contributor to ESPN’s “Outside the Lines,” Dr. Powers enjoys serving as the Team Physician for West Hall High School and working out of the Urgent Care in Buford. His clinical interests include concussions and pediatric athletes.
