Dr. Ellis Kevin Nam was born and raised in Chicago, Ill. After graduating at Northwestern University with an Undergraduate Degree in Economics, he earned his Degree in Medicine at Northwestern Medical School. He continued his training at Northwestern Medical School, completing his General Surgery Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. Dr. Nam completed his fellowship training at Southern California Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, with a subspecialty in minimally invasive arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, and ankle. Dr. Nam is double board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Nam has extensive experience in Sports Related Injuries, having served as a physician for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Wolves Ice Hockey Teams.

I had a torn acl and meniscal tears on my right knee for 6 years without knowing. Dr Nam and his team did an amazing job. Not only is the patience there but also all the little details to make sure your healing process is going smooth. I had this done in April 2016 and now were in June 2016 and Im almost at 100%. Just have to continue doing the strengthening exercises that my awesome therapist has me doing on my knee so I can play sports by October. I highly recommend Dr Nam.
