Edward J. Boos, D.D.S. is a native of New Orleans and a 1973 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He completed his internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Charity Hospital of New Orleans and has been in private practice in the metro New Orleans area ever since. Dr. Boos previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral Surgery at LSUSD and as chairman of the Oral Surgery Department at East Jefferson General Hospital, where he maintains active staff privileges. Over the past 38 years Dr. Boos has provided a full scope of oral and maxillofacial services including trauma, oral pathology, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, implants and extraction of wisdom teeth. Dr. Boos is a member of many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, New Orleans Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Louisiana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In his free time, Dr. Boos enjoys boating (he is an active member and the current fleet surgeon for the Southern Yacht Club), fly fishing in the Louisiana marsh, and spending time with his family.
