Ami received her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Pre Medicine. She continued her education at the University of Illinois in Chicago with her first master’s degree in Sport’s Injury Management. During this time, she assisted in pre-season medical testing for the Chicago Blackhawks as well as for the NBA pre-draft camp, assisted in stress testing, was an anatomy teaching assistant and volunteered in sports injury rehabilitation facilities and the Rehabilitation institute in Chicago.

She then completed her education with a second Master’s of science in Physician Assistant studies from the Arizona school of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona. Throughout her years as a PA, Ami has worked in orthopedic surgery in both inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting in surgery and performing injections. Following her move to Arizona, Ami joined Southwest Spine and Sports in March 2013 when she decided to move her career to PM&R and has found it to be an exciting transition.
