Dr. Ramon Ylanan joined Advanced Orthopeadic Specialists (AOS) in early 2012 as a part of our Razorback sports medicine team. Prior to AOS, Dr. Ylanan spent 3 ½ years at the University of South Carolina. He was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina School Of Medicine, holding appointments in both the Family Medicine and Orthopeadic Departments. He was Associate Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship, served as Team Physician for multiple Columbia High Schools, Benedict College, and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

His Sports Medicine experience includes a long list ranging from the care of the 2010 and 2011 NCAA College World Series Champion Gamecocks to the Columbia City and Alabama Ballets—from the weekend warrior to the professional/collegiate or high school athlete. Dr. Ylanan provides comprehensive sports medicine care for the athlete, and specializes in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, and provides a range of joint and soft tissue injections.
