Dr. Do Ouro takes her personal experience with pain and uses that to ensure that she exhausts every treatment option available for her patients. “Chronic Pain is a very difficult area to treat,” she said. “So I believe we need to keep an open mind and explore every modality possible, even if that means interventional, pharmacological or both.”
Prior to joining Manhattan Spine & Pain Medicine, an affiliate of National Spine & Pain Centers, Dr. Do Ouro was a pain specialist and anesthesiologist with the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Hospital for 13 years. She also served as the associate director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program and as a clinical associate professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology and has published case studies on the use of interventional modalities in the treatment of chronic pain
