Dr. Matthys completed an orthopaedic residency at the University of Southern California and Los Angeles Medical Center in California. Following this training, Dr. Matthys was awarded 3 prestigious fellowships in joint replacement and reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was also awarded a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Reconstruction at Baylor Medical Center, Dallas Texas and further fellowship training in Los Angeles California at the Hip and Pelvis Institute.
