A native of Colorado, James Genuario, MD, began his love of sports medicine while participating in athletics at the great University of Notre Dame. There he earned a BS in biology and a minor in anthropology, but most importantly met the love of his life, Kristy. Together, they journeyed to Chicago where he received his medical degree from Northwestern University in 2003 and was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

After medical school, Dr. Genuario and Kristy continued their travels east to Dartmouth College to pursue an orthopaedic surgery residency. While at Dartmouth, both his degrees and his family expanded as he earned a master’s degree focusing on health policy while spending a year involved in the prestigious American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Health Policy Fellowship.
