Dr. Douglas Beaman graduated medical school from the University of Michigan, and then completed an orthopaedic surgery residency also at the University of Michigan in 1994. In 1995, Dr. Beaman did a foot and ankle reconstructive surgery fellowship with Roger Mann, MD in Oakland, California, and did further training in the Ilizarov method. He began his orthopaedic practice in Portland in 1995 at Emanuel Hospital, and specializes in lower extremity trauma and reconstructive surgery.Dr. Beaman currently operates at both Emanuel hospital and Portland Providence hospital, and is the current head of orthopaedics at Emanuel hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
