Oakland Animal Hospital was founded in 1963 by Dr. Henry Peinecke to offer modern compassionate veterinary care to the animals of northwest Bergen County and nearby Passaic and Morris Counties. In 1979, Dr. Robert P. Gordon became the director of the hospital.Since 1963 Oakland Animal Hospital has grown from a single veterinary practice and a small staff to three veterinarians, 7 veterinarian technicians, and 9 support staff.
