Boris Karanfilov, M.D. was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated valedictorian from Bishop Watterson High School and then completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biology at The Ohio State University graduating summa cum laude. After earning his medical degree from Ohio State, he completed his Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center. After residency, he completed a one-year fellowship in Rhinology and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery with the world renowned Rhinologist, Frederick A. Kuhn, M.D. in Savannah, GA. Dr. Kuhn’s fellowship offered extensive training in complicated and revision sinus surgery cases.
