Dr. Abby Maxwell is a graduate of Duke University (2003), Bachelor of Science,. Major-Biology, concentration in Marine Biology; Minor – Economics. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2008.Dr. Maxwell did her post graduate training in Orthopaedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Sports Medicine Fellowship from MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.Dr. Maxwell specializes in Sports Medicine and has had the opportunity to work as an associate team physician for several college and professional teams during her training including Loyola University’s men’s and women’s soccer, basketball and lacrosse teams, Towson University’s men’s and women’s lacrosse, Morgan State University’s men’s and women’s basketball.  She was also able to work alongside the head team physicians for the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Nationals.
