Dr. Allison Spielzinger attended an accelerated degree program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she received her B.S. degree in Animal Science in three years. An honors student during her time there, Dr. Spielzinger made the Dean’s List and earned a scholarship award from the American Society of Animal Science.

Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Spielzinger was admitted to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in her home state of New York. Active in many student organizations, she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and immediately joined the Plainfield Animal Hospital as a general practitioner.

General practice allows her a wide variety of professional interests, but Dr. Spielzinger particularly enjoys internal medicine and surgery. She plans to pursue specialty certification within the next few years. Her professional memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, the Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association.
