Dr. Andrew Steinkeler was raised in Falmouth, Maine. He attended Tufts University where he double majored in Biology and Spanish. While at Tufts he graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. After Tufts, Dr. Steinkeler matriculated to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he earned numerous awards including the Theodor Blum Award in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Matthew Cryer Society Award in Oral Medicine, as well as election to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. He received his doctor of dental medicine degree in 2009, graduating in the top of his class. Dr. Steinkeler was then accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As part of his residency, he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he received his MD degree in 2012, graduating in the top of his class.
