Dr. Hirsch specializes in medical oncology and hematology and is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.  He has particular expertise in genitourinary cancers, including bladder, kidney, prostate and testicular cancers.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Hirsch serves as the medical director for Health Services Research and Informatics for The US Oncology Network.  Dr. Hirsch is the author of numerous publications and also currently serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the Duke University School of Medicine and the Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, North Carolina, where he was previously a full time faculty member.
