From an early age, Dr. Brett Menmuir had a vision. And he knew it would involve working with his hands to help those suffering from chronic pain. His focus and determination would become the bedrock of his career path, paving the way to heal those in need with his surgical talents.
After earning his degree in science from Georgetown University, Dr. Menmuir went on to earn his medical degree from Georgetown University’s School of Medicine. He then attended Louisiana State University to complete his residency in orthopedic spine surgery followed by a fellowship at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Before joining Laser Spine Institute’s surgical team, Dr. Menmuir spent more than a decade at Reno Orthopedic Clinic where he was the Spine Team Leader. While there, he specialized in minimally invasive techniques for spine and sacroiliac joint fusions, motion preservation surgery, pain management and orthopedic procedures.
When he’s not helping patients find lasting relief, Dr. Menmuir lives his “seize the day” motto by enjoying an active lifestyle that includes swimming, biking, skiing, windsurfing, tennis and world travel. He also values life’s simple pleasures like spending time outdoors and playing the piano.
