Dr. Frank graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine, after which he was named Chief Resident during his residency in Family Medicine at South Nassau Communities Hospital (SUNY Stony Brook school of medicine). Upon completing his residency in Family Medicine, he worked in a Public Health Service clinic/ hospital in Barrow, Alaska. Yes he did eat whale blubber (muktuk) with his Eskimo patients. He also did some work in Alaska at bushclinics and the VA. He then volunteered through Americares in Kauai, Hawaii, at a clinic in need after hurricane Iniki. Following his travels from sub zero to tropical temperatures (once in the same day!) he spent time cruising the seas as the ship’s doctor on several cruise ships as well as working in a variety of emergency rooms. With his feet back on dry land, he moved to Harrisburg to complete a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at a Penn State / Hershey Medical Center / PinnacleHealth program .
