Emily is a native of South Dakota. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology at Idaho State University. While living in Idaho, Emily fell in love with trail running and anything involving the outdoors. Following graduation, Emily moved to the Midwest where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. She is ecstatic to be returning to the mountains! Professional interests: Surgery, equine lameness, patient analgesia, and small animal medicine.

Personal interests: Marathon and ultra marathon racing, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, hiking, camping, horseback trail riding, and cooking. Emily enjoys entertaining her Goffin Cockatoo, Keely, and plans to adopt a puppy once she is settled in Montrose.
