F. Scott Bauer, DMD, is a 1987 honor graduate of The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. Dr. Bauer furthered his dental training in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, attending a general and hospital dental residency. Dr. Bauer took his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time he received extensive training in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery serving as chief resident 1992-1993. Dr. Bauer is a board certified diplomat of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Joining North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in 2000, Dr. Bauer has continued to further his education by attending numerous continuing education courses on topics such as implant surgery, bone grafting techniques, facial reconstruction and cosmetic procedures. His practice focuses on dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, traumatic facial injuries and reconstruction.
