From the time she was young, Dr. Rosa found her delight spending time with all animals. Growing up in Chicago and San Francisco, Dr. Rosa spent her days chasing the cat around with a video camera or running in the sprinklers with her dog. But, it wasn’t until later in life that she discovered her potential in veterinary medicine. She began by working for the San Francisco SPCA in the canine care unit while earning her registered veterinary technician license. As a California RVT, she worked in both general practice and emergency medicine. After a few years, Dr. Rosa decided to return to academia to earn her DVM at Western University of Health Sciences. She has a special interest in geriatric medicine, alternative therapies and emergency medicine.
