A native of Festus, Missouri, Dr. Koreckij earned his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and returned to Missouri for medical school. He received his medical degree and performed his surgical internship and orthopaedic residency at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine. While there, Dr. Koreckij was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Following his residency, Dr. Koreckij completed an orthopaedic spinal surgery fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Dr. Koreckij specializes in adult disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine; adult scoliosis and deformity; and metastatic spinal tumors. He believes most spine problems can be effectively treated non-operatively and that spine surgery should be a last option in most instances.
