Dr. Jeff Almand was born in Eustis, Florida and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi in 1987, where he was the recipient of the Taylor Medal for Liberal Arts. In 1991 he received his Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Almand’s professional training in Orthopaedic surgery includes a completed Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Duke University Medical Center in 1997 and a Fellowship in total joint replacement in Indianapolis with the University of Indiana and Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital. He became Board Certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1999 and recertified in 2009. Dr. Almand has a special interest in computer-assisted, minimally invasive total joint replacement of the hip and knee.
