Dr. Becker was born and spent the majority of her life here in Southern Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences. Prior to attending veterinary school, she was a technician at VCA Southern Maryland Veterinary Referral for 3.5 years. Dr. Becker then moved to the island of St. Kitts in order to achieve her life-long dream of attending veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
