Dr. Kellie Horton grew up in Abbeville, SC working for a mixed animal practitioner since the age of twelve. After graduating Clemson University with an Animal Science degree, she attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her last year of veterinary school, she attended the Chi Institute in Florida where she became certified in Large and Small Animal Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). Upon graduating, she practiced in Louisiana as a large animal veterinarian heavily concentrated on equine medicine. Being away from South Carolina for five years, Dr. Horton decided it was time to come home to be with family. Since returning, she has practiced as a predominately small animal veterinarian; however, still treating horses with acupuncture and herbal medicine.In her spare time, she is a Beachbody fitness coach. she loves riding horses, being outdoors and spending time with her two dogs. She enjoys traveling, hiking, camping and the beach.
