Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Meals graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and joined our team shortly after. Prior to that she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and worked as a veterinarian assistant and hospital zookeeper at Chicago’s Brookfield Zoo. Her special interests include exotic and wildlife medicine, surgery, and emergency/critical care medicine.When not caring for your critters, Dr. Meals spends time with her two kitties, Nala and Clementine, a spoiled dog named Molly, and her husband. When not working she likes to relax at the beach, travel, and brag to her family and friends back home about the weather in California.
