Dr. Sutherland is one of the newest veterinarians at Avon Lake Animal Clinic. She brings a wealth of experience to the practice, including a master’s degree in public health—with an emphasis in veterinary public health—from The Ohio State University. She also earned her DVM from The Ohio State University and studied at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.Dr. Sutherland is a lover of animals both small and large. Her passion for animals has led her to various parts of the world, including Kenya and the Galapagos islands, where she saw a number of wild animals, including giraffes, elephants, and hyenas. Although she’s a world traveler, the Lake Erie area with the Cleveland food scene will always be home to her. With her love for animals, it’s unsurprising that she cares for half a dozen pets of her own, including four dogs named Grey, Frances, Darwin, and Einstein; and two cats named Abner and Lewis.
