Dr. Fahie was born and raised in eastern Canada. She has a broad base of veterinary surgical experience including soft tissue, oncologic, neurologic, reconstructive and orthopedic procedures. She is known for her genuine compassion for her patients and their families. Her current clinical research involves therapy for osteoarthritis in dogs and objective methods of assessing lameness. Dr. Fahie enjoys training and mentoring veterinary students in surgical techniques and theory. She is an active participant in continuing education in surgery and teaching. Maria lives in Orange with her husband, 2 daughters, and their furry friends. They enjoy outdoor activities including camping, dirt bike riding, mountain biking and cyclocross.
