I was referred to Dr. Gilbert by my rheumatologist, who could not give me a Synvisc injection in my knee because I now am on Medicare, and she doesn't do enough on the injections to keep the Synvisc on supply in her office. Medicare doesn't let you get it by presciption through a pharmacy---too expensive. Dr. Gilbert does so many of these injections that he keeps it in his office.
