Dr. Allen was born in New York, but moved at a very early age to Arizona. She became a part of the Ehrlich team in 2011. She was first drawn to the veterinary field when she was a young child, claiming she wanted to be a “doggie doctor”. Dr. Allen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, with a minor in Anatomy and Neurobiology, in 1997, from Colorado State University. She obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from Perdue University in 2001. She completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists, now known as Blue Pearl, in 2002. She has worked in small animal private practice for most of her career, but also worked in the emergency department at FVS/Tampa. Dr. Allen is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.
