During his tenure, he was Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of Spinal Surgery at the Andrews Air Force Base/Malcolm Grow Medical Center. He currently holds an appointment as Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services Health Science University in Bethesda, Maryland.

My experience, under the able hands of Dr. Michael Hasz, has been excellent. The services I have received from the Virginia Spine Institute has been very good! There are some other back issues pending but NOT related to the same area of the back and if I need more surgery, it will definitely be with Dr. Hasz.

He's brilliant.

He presented everything to me in such a way that I understood my options, but clearly the decision was mine how to proceed. I had been in such pain for so long that I wanted the maximum surgery. Knowing all the risks and long recovery involved I really put my faith in him. I am so glad I did.
