Dr. Michael Bernstein has been an Orthopaedic Surgeon since 1975 and joined Somers Orthopaedic Surgery in June 2007. His practice of orthopaedics spans a career of over 30 years.Dr. Bernstein earned his Medical Degree at New York Medical College and completed an internship at the University Hospital in Washington, D.C.. He then served as Lieutenant Commander at the Brighton Marine Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. This was followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Michigan.Dr. Bernstein is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and is member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the NYS Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons where he served as president.
