Dr. Clary obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Furman University  in Greenville, SC and  his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He completed a 1-Year Advanced General Dentistry Residency at Ft. Campbell, KY and served a General  Dentist in the US Army in Germany before attending his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. After completing his residency in 2006, Dr. Clary served as a Mentor to the AEGD program and the Chief of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ft. Jackson as well as the Executive Officer for the Dental Activity.
