Stephen M. Johnson, M.D. has dedicated his career to corneal surgery and the restoration of vision.

After graduating from the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Johnson served his internship and was in Ophthalmology residency at the Indiana University Medical Center. He was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1981. Dr. Johnson was a fellow in Corneal Surgery and Diseases at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Since 1983, he has been in private practice at Midwest Eye Institute. Dr. Stephen Johnson has a special interest in the field of refractive surgery. At Baylor he explored a method of changing refraction with corneal implants. In 1981, he attended one of the first United States training sessions on radial keratotomy.
