Dr. Tina Alster is the founding director of the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery and is a clinical professor of dermatology at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. She received her B.S. and M.D. degrees with highest honors from Duke University and completed her dermatology residency at Yale University. She is a world-recognized leader in dermatologic laser surgery and has published hundreds of articles and 8 textbooks on the subject. Dr. Tina Alster maintains leadership and board positions in numerous professional and national organizations and has served as a consultant to several skin care and device companies, including Lancôme and La Mer.

Her commitment to teaching and mentoring others is evident in her establishment of scholarship endowments for women pursuing careers in medicine at Duke University. She has received numerous accolades by her peers including the prestigious Mentorship and Legacy Awards from the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS).

you are treated like a queen when you walk in and leave looking like one!!

DR. ALSTER IS PHENOMENAL! If you are looking for a dermatologist look no further. Dr. Alster is a true genius. She is kind, compassionate and very intelligent. She spends time explaining each and every procedure and creates a tailored at home skin care regime that has revolutionized my skin. Dr. Alster is simply amazing and there is a reason she is recognized nationally as one of the best. There is no other dermatologist that can even come close to her!

Dr. Alster the best of the best - not only does she have the unique ability to assess my face and tailor treatments to me (after all I'm not 25 any more!!) but she has a phenomenal bed-side manner. She is clearly the leader in her field, takes time with each and every patient no matter how long and never does more than is needed. The entire staff is capable, qualified and brilliantly trained, the office is immaculate, the follow up welcomed and appreciated. No one better!
