Dr. Tom Thompson has been practicing in Cobb County since 1987. He received a B.S. degree in Biology and Chemistry from The State University of West Georgia in 1981 and a M.S. in Microbiology from The University of Georgia in 1983. Dr. Thompson continued his education at The University of Georgia, where he received a Doctorate Veterinary Medicine in 1987.

Dr. Thompson is a general practitioner with special interests in orthopedic surgery and internal medicine. He is a member of the Cobb Veterinary Association, Georgia Veterinary Association, Greater Atlanta Veterinary Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Tom Thompson served on the board of directors for the Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic and the Cherokee Emergency Veterinary Clinic for three years.
