Dr. William Vitello was born and raised in Northwest Ohio and attended the University of Toledo where he graduated cum laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. (B.A. 1987-1992). He earned his Degree in Medicine (M.D. 1992-1996) from Wright State University School of Medicine. He continued his training at Wright State University School of Medicine where he completed 2 years of General Surgery training as well as the 5 year Orthopaedic Surgery program (1996-2003). Dr. Vitello then did his fellowship training (2003-2004) at the renowned Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. There, he received sub-specialized training in Hand, Microvascular, and Upper-Extremity conditions.
Dr. Vitello has extensive experience in the conservative and operative treatment of Hand and Upper-extremity related injuries and chronic conditions. He has also authored numerous journal and text book articles.
