Jennifer Kummer, MD, graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester with degrees in both biology and economics. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2002 and was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She performed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Chicago, followed by a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

After completing her fellowship in 2008, Dr. Kummer joined the Steadman Hawkins Clinic-Denver that fall. She specializes in the treatment of disorders of the hand and upper extremity, including sports-related injuries, fractures, arthritis, pediatric conditions, and peripheral nerve disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome. She is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
