Dr. Rafetto grew up in nearby Pennsylvania where he graduated from Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors from the University of Delaware, he received his dental degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from Temple University School of Dentistry. He then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training at The Medical Center of Delaware in 1980 and received certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons 1983.
Dr. Rafetto is the President-Elect of the American Associaton of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He continues to be involved in post-graduate education, serving as Director of Surgical Implantology and Alveolar Reconstruction for the Oral and Maxillofacial Residency Program at Christiana Care Health Systems, where he also serves as Chairman of the Department.
