Dr. Plante is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, who is a Rhode Island native and a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Tulane University. He earned his medical degree from Brown Medical School and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Brown University. He obtained an advanced fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Rhode Island Hospital and went on to do a fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at UMASS Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Plante has worked with many professional, college, and high school teams including the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Providence Bruins, Brown University, Holy Cross, and the Providence Public Schools. He is a member of theAmerican Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine.
