She attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated Cum Laude, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to earn her Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University, School of Public Health in Washington, DC, and then her Doctor of Medicine degree from Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine, in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Salaam completed her internship at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. After completing four years of NIH clinical research, she completed a family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. She has been privileged to spend years of training under renowned cosmetic surgeons specializing in skin of color in Washington, DC. She is excited to bring this level of expertise to Germantown, TN.
