Center for Genetics and Society
The Center for Genetics and Society is a nonprofit information and public affairs organization working to encourage responsible uses and effective societal governance of human genetic and reproductive technologies and other emerging technologies. The Center supports benign and beneficent medical applications of these technologies, and opposes those applications that objectify and commodify human life and threaten to divide human society.
Stem Cell Society of India
The Aims and objects of the Society is to formulate guidelines and ethical principles and assist and guide professional bodies, regulatory bodies and governments in the formation and modification of guidelines in alignment with the advances occurring in the field of stem cell therapy.
Stem Cell Research Italy
Stem Cell Research Italy promotes studies and researches in the field of Stem Cells and encourages studies of scientific disciplines that are related to Stem Cells.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLSC has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today.
MS Society of Canada
The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease.
National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology
The NICB (National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology) is a leading research institute located on the DCU campus in Dublin. The NICB is a multidisciplinary centre of research in fundamental and applied cellular biotechnology, molecular cell Biology, ocular diseases and biological chemistry. It includes a multidisciplinary team of Cell and Molecular Biologists, Biotechnologists, Chemists and Computer scientists.
Alliance For Cancer Gene Therapy Foundation
The mission of ACGT is to seek out and support revolutionary scientific research into the causes, treatment and prevention of all types of cancer using cells and genes as medicine. Cell and gene therapies are destroying tumors every day in the laboratory and in human trials, targeting only the cancer with few side effects to healthy tissue. ACGT’s rigorous grant review process, under the guidance of a preeminent Scientific Advisory Council, have resulted in some of the most successful breakthroughs in the history of cancer treatments and led to many patients in complete remission.
Netherlands Society of Gene and Cell Therapy
The Netherlands Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (NVGCT) is dedicated to promoting basic and clinical research in gene therapy and cell therapy within the Netherlands. By connecting scientists, clinicians, patients, public and government we wish to contribute to the development of gene and cell therapy for various diseases.
Australian Cord Blood Foundation
The Australian Cord Blood Foundation was formed for the purpose of raising money to support the Sydney Cord Blood Bank. Cord Blood is the blood that remains in the placenta and in the attached umbilical cord following childbirth. Cord blood is rich in stems cells. It is used for transplantation as an alternative to bone marrow, and as a curative treatment for many hematopoietic and genetic disorders. The Australian Cord Blood Foundation is dedicated to the support of the Sydney Cord Blood Bank in its quest to provide life saving transplantation of blood stem cells for the treatment of leukaemia and other life threatening conditions of children as well as adults.
The Japan Society for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
JSHCT (Japan Society for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation) was initiated as The Nation-wide Gathering for Friendly Discussion about Bone Marrow Transplantation.
Hong Kong Society of Transplantation
Hong Kong Society of Transplantation mission is to promote research, education, training, and appreciation in the science and technology of transplantation, and to make available to the community up-to-date information on new developments in transplantation and organ/tissue harvesting for public benefit.
Student Society for Stem Cell Research
The Student Society for Stem Cell Research was founded in August of 2003. They are an international network dedicated to the advancement of scientific research for cures. They believe that stem cell research will revolutionize the field of medicine. With a coordinated and cooperative global effort, they can advance stem cell research in the most efficient manner.
Dutch Society for Stem Cell Research
The goal of the society is to promote (the quality) of stem cell research and to propagate knowledge and information on this subject in the Netherlands. DSSCR membership is open to those who have a continuous interest in any discipline important to stem cell research.
Motor Neurone Disease Association (mnd)
Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. Researchers would like to use human motor neurones generated from stem cells to help them understand what goes wrong in MND.
